Hi, I'm Jade

An educator looking out for other educators

I'm so glad you're here. If you're thinking about teaching abroad, you're probably feeling a mix of excitement, curiosity, and maybe a little overwhelm. I know that feeling well because I've been exactly where you are.

I'm not a recruiter or an agency. I'm an educator looking out for other educators.

Just one month after graduating from University with my Education degree, I packed my life into a few suitcases and moved abroad to begin my teaching career in International schools. Since then, I've taught internationally in Mexico, Colombia, and now China — navigating three international job searches, multiple international moves, visa processes, and all the highs and challenges that come with building a life overseas.

Like many teachers, I learned through experience. I spent countless hours searching blogs, Facebook groups, and forums, wishing there was one honest, organized resource that explained the process from start to finish. So I created the one I wish I'd had.

This guide isn't just built on my own experiences. It's shaped by countless conversations with first-time international teachers, veteran educators, school leaders, and friends teaching all over the world.

I don't claim to have all the answers. But if there's one thing I can promise, it's this: if I don't know the answer, I know someone who does.

Because this isn't just about finding a job abroad. It's about building a life you'll be proud of. Here's to your next classroom… wherever in the world it may be.

Teachers who've been right where you are

A few notes from educators who've used the Toolkit.

The International Teacher Toolkit made the whole idea of teaching abroad feel so much less overwhelming. Before reading it, I had a million tabs open and no clear direction. Jade breaks everything down in a way that feels honest, practical, and encouraging. It gave me the confidence to actually start applying.
EREmily R.Primary Teacher
What I appreciated most was that this didn’t feel like advice from a recruiter. It felt like guidance from another teacher who truly understands the process. The sections on schools, contracts, salaries, and benefits helped me ask better questions and feel more prepared before interviews.
MTMarcus T.High School English Teacher

Jade’s advice helped me feel prepared not just to get a job abroad, but to actually build a life abroad. The guidance on culture, community, homesickness, and settling in was just as valuable as the job search information. It felt thoughtful, realistic, and genuinely supportive.
DCDaniel C.Elementary Educator
The checklists and timelines alone were worth it. I stopped feeling scattered and finally had a clear plan for my résumé, applications, documents, and next steps. Jade’s experience comes through in every section, but the tone still feels warm and approachable.
PSPriya S.Middle School Teacher
If you’re thinking about international teaching, this toolkit is the perfect starting point. Jade explains the process clearly without sugarcoating it, and she includes the kind of insider tips you usually only get after making mistakes yourself. It helped me feel informed, excited, and ready for the adventure.
